I’m Nathalie,

nice to meet you.

I am a designer from Germany who relocated to Denmark to make games.

According to my mom, I learned to link slides in PowerPoint when I was 8, made a point-and-click adventure, and forced everyone to play it; I haven't stopped since.

Ever since I graduated, I have been working as a game designer on a variety of game genres and platforms, including party, simulation, puzzle, racing, management, roguelike, RPGs, and educational games for PC, consoles, mobile, and VR. My approach is very structured and systematic, which oftentimes made me the team’s ‘safety salamander’, pointing out potential risks early and pushing towards establishing best practices and workflows that enabled us to make the most out of the budget and allow for smooth live ops.

Professionally and in my personal life, I love learning, acquiring new skills, and discussing them with passionate people. So, please feel free to reach out (regardless of whether it’s about games, 3D art, programming, freediving, or particle physics)!

Did you know?

  • I worked in a Circus

When I was 19, I spontaneously moved to Berlin. Before began to study game design, I interned at an artist’s agency and ended up in the prop and costume department of a circus.

  • I play Harp

I began when I was 15 and even briefly joined a metal band. Nowadays I only play recreationally.

  • I studied Archaeology

Even though I never finished my degree, I studied archaeology at Leipzig University. Even though I ended up in a different field, I am still a huge history nerd.

  • I like Freediving

A few years ago I decided I wanted to learn how to freedive. Ever since my happy place is underwater.

  • I performed as a Dancer

I used to perform in teams and solo, so if you come across pictures of me in sparkly outfits on a stage or wonder where I learned those sick moves at the office party, that's why.

  • B.Sc. Dipl. Dr.h.c.

Only one of those degrees is legit. The rest I acquired via online courses, just because I found the idea of putting them on my business card funny. If I ever own a boat, even if it’s inflatable, I will add Cpt.
