Chimparty is a family-friendly party game developed in collaboration with Sony XDev as part of the PlayLink for PS4 range.
Designed for up to four players, the game uses smartphone or tablet-based one-button controls to make jumping into fast-paced mini games easy and intuitive for players of all ages. Chimparty combines lighthearted competition with accessible design, offering 90 levels across 18 themed mini games, each built around one of six unique control methods.
Players compete in a whimsical board game format as fully customizable, mischievous chimps—slinging, swinging, and bouncing through themed worlds like haunted castles, pirate harbors, and prehistoric jungles. Designed to bring people together on the couch, Chimparty delivers quick, joyful play sessions.
I initially joined this project as a design intern while still completing my university studies. Following the internship, I was offered a permanent role, allowing me to contribute as a core team member through and beyond the game's release.
My responsibilities were split between supporting the art team with scene dressing and contributing to game and level design. I took full ownership of one of the six control methods and all associated mini-games and levels. In addition, I was involved in bug fixing, gameplay balancing, and refining user experience across the entire project.
