Grand Casino Tycoon is a hybrid tycoon-puzzle game that emphasizes spatial design and behavioral systems over traditional economic simulation. Players design casino layouts that strategically guide distinct guest types, each with unique preferences and routines.

Rather than focusing on financial micromanagement, the core gameplay revolves around influencing guest movement and satisfaction through layout, décor, and service placement. Pathing, zoning, and environmental design are central to shaping player strategy and balancing entertainment with profitability. Guest profiling and AI behavior systems support a puzzle-like design approach, encouraging experimentation and optimization. Progression includes a structured campaign across themed casinos and a sandbox mode, with increasing complexity introduced through unlocks, evolving objectives, and quirky VIP interactions.

The game’s systems-driven design highlights player impact through environment shaping and guest flow management, blending light-hearted humor with strategic depth in a colorful, accessible simulation.

Although Grand Casino Tycoon was developed by another team within the studio, I was regularly brought in to support when additional design resources were needed. My contributions focused on feature design and economy balancing, always working within the framework and vision established by the core project team.

In addition, through our weekly speed 3D modeling sessions, I contributed several decorative prop models that were included in the final release.
